Choosing a vehicle
Luggage decides more often than passengers.
The E-Class carries three passengers and three bags. The S-Class carries the same three passengers but two bags: the extra comfort costs you a suitcase. Four people travelling with four cases do not need two sedans — they need a V-Class, which takes seven passengers and eight bags for CHF 10 more than an E-Class on an airport transfer.
Skis, snowboards and oversized bags change the answer.
The luggage figures above are for standard suitcases. Ski bags, boot bags, golf covers, pushchairs and instrument cases take the room of more than one suitcase. Tell us what you are carrying when you book and we assign the vehicle that actually fits — it costs nothing to say it in advance, and a lot of time to discover it at the kerb.
The price is per vehicle, never per seat.
Three colleagues landing together in Geneva pay one fare, not three. That is why the useful question before booking is not how many of you are travelling, but how many passengers and bags need to sit comfortably for the length of the journey. Twenty minutes into town tolerates a full car; two and a half hours to Zermatt does not.
Half a day out beats four separate transfers.
If your day has more than three stops — a meeting in Geneva, lunch in Nyon, an appointment in Lausanne, then the airport — the eight-hour rate is usually cheaper than the transfers taken one by one, and your luggage stays in the car between stops instead of following you into every lobby.
Same three seats, different arrival.
The S-Class and the Maybach GLS both take three passengers and two bags. Between them the question is not space but the impression made on arrival — and, on a mountain road in February, the fact that the GLS is an all-wheel-drive SUV rather than a saloon.
What the fare covers
Quoted per vehicle, confirmed before departure, and unchanged on arrival.
The figure you are given includes the chauffeur and their waiting time, fuel, motorway tolls and the Swiss vignette, and VAT. Traffic does not change it. A detour imposed by the road does not change it. For airport pickups we follow the flight and move the pickup to the real landing time at no extra cost, and cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the service.
Prices shown here are starting fares for the whole vehicle, one way, from Geneva or Zurich airport. Every other journey in Switzerland, France and Italy is quoted at a fixed price and confirmed in writing before you commit.
Crossing a border
The French and Italian resorts are ordinary work
Chamonix, Megève, Courchevel and Val d'Isère lie on the French side; Milan and the Italian lakes are a regular run. The fixed price covers the tolls and the vignettes on both sides of the border. Every passenger needs a passport or identity card, and if one of you travels on a visa, tell us when you book so the crossing is allowed for.
A mountain date is not a summer date
Tell us the resort and the date rather than only the address. The same journey to Verbier takes a different route, a different vehicle and a different amount of time in February than in July, and knowing it in advance is what keeps the price fixed instead of provisional.
